Mean of the LiveQuote indexes of 23 materials, as of 4 November 2026.

Melons account for most of the rise in exotic fruits. Melon is up 61.5% over the three months to 4 November 2026 and green melon 50.8%. A 29 October note reports that Brazil's season started with lower supply and reasonable prices. Across the 23 indexed materials of this 28-material family, the mean move is +5.6% over three months and +7.4% over one year.

Beyond melons, gains are smaller. Avocado rose 11.7%, grenadilla 9.3% and coconut copra 9.1%, though copra is still 30.3% below its level of a year ago. Twelve materials rose in all, ten fell and one, mango, was flat.

Avocado news was busy at the end of October. Chile's Hass season opened on 27 October at relatively high prices, Kenya suspended sea exports from 30 October after an assessment found harvest volumes insufficient, and a strike in Michoacán sharply cut planned shipments to the United States, according to a 29 October report.

Among the fallers, pomegranate lost 9.5%, papaya 6.9%, guava 5.2% and dragon fruit (pitaya) 4.5%, yet all four remain higher than a year ago. For pomegranate, news on 21 October reported drought and water stress in India affecting fruit quality and making export-grade fruit harder to source.

Mangoes are close to flat over three months and well up over the year: mango +12.2%, Kent mango +12.0%, Alphonso mango and Totapuri mango +13.0%. On 28 October, a note reported El Niño reducing production in Peru, with strong demand and rising mango prices. Banana (+0.7%) and pineapple (-2.4%) barely moved.

Five materials carry notes but no public index: durian, litchi, mangosteen, rambutan and khaki (persimmon). On 14 October, a report described Spanish persimmon supply far below usual levels, with one supplier having lost a large share of its crop to rain.
